Forestry Applications for LIDAR Analyst^®

LIDAR Analyst is a high-precision measurement tool that offers considerable benefits in forest management.

A processing specialist in LIDAR data, the LIDAR Analyst software captures and attributes nearly 100% of tree and forest features, plus buildings, while extracting the bare earth terrain within centimeters of sensor accuracy.

The software is well suited for forestry assessment of canopy attributes, crown diameter, leaf area, biomass measurements, and forest density.

LIDAR Analyst is also an excellent complement to the Feature Analyst^® software, also from Overwatch, which is able to map individual tree crowns, canopy coverage, and trails, and has the potential to differentiate between conifer and hardwood trees.
